how much tax is taken away from my wages? am 19 on £833.33 a month or £10,000 a year.

  2. impossible to say.

    YOu should have a pay slip which details your pay and any deductions.

    If your employer does not give you a pay slip, you are legaly entitled to one.

  3. Imput your payslip figures into www.listentotaxman, and it will show if your employer's calculation shown on your payslip is correct.

    If your tax code is 543L (which is the normal one for all) then

    Tax=£76.00

    NIC=£41.84

    Total=£117.84

    Net Pay = £715.49
