Taxi driver in malaysia....

Question

i just read some questions in yahoo answer s'pore and one of em is about a taxi driver that is so rude..it's a normal thing to happen right??..but just read the answers there..especially by ~glocker..about malaysian taxi drivers..wut do u think??

taxi drivers are human too.

some of them are absolutely annoyingly rude,

and some are nice and friendly.

I only use taxi if I'm late and really need to go to one place in insane speed.

Like if I need to go to KLCC from Bangi in 1/2 hour during heavy traffic.

The taxi driver never failed to perform their expertise in overtaking and speeding. I just love to pay them extra if they made it in time.

Malaysia Chinese taxi Driver is more RUDE  than Singapore. world no 1 BAD taxi driver . but Muslim driver are very good in service. I am Chinese  stay in Singapore, sometimes back to KL. i try not to take Taxi,if their are Chinese driver.there want more money or selected place to go also very rude on the road. but our Kawan all very good.

Yup all true.

1) They won't use the meter. You insist & they insist you take a hike.

2) Since they won't use the meter, they will charge high prices.

3) If they use the meter, some will take the scenic route to your destination so you pay more.

4) You have to ask them if they will send you to your destination. Traffic jams or no fare back are the normal reasons they will utter should they refuse to go there.

5) It is not unusual if the driver picks up other passengers on route to your destination.

6) Most of them flout the traffic rules & some drive like F1 drivers. Most are inconsiderate drivers.

7) Some taxis have seen better days. Some are souped-up taxis.

8) Some are rude & some will turn violent.

9) The list goes on & on........

I'm sure many more Malaysians or anyone who have been in a taxi in Malaysia can attest to what I've stated.

Of cos I've met nice & honest cab drivers but there are too few of them.

Thank God you made me remember.

I went to Malaysia for summer and of course we don't have a car there.

I just went there to visit my uncle and we always had to take the taxi. The taxi driver was so rude there. It was already raining so hard(It's kinda normal there. <morning:sunshine, afternoon: raining>) We asked the driver if he could drop us by in a certain condo, he said "NO!". i THOUGHT they should give service and how come he has to shout?! Sometimes they rise up the price there. LIke, 12 ringgits <metered> :(

being nice to them everytime i take a taxi, so far i've never got any problem with them, they are all ok and friendly

One thing that i'm really dislike taxi drivers are the way of their driving..

Very rush without concern other drivers and also their own passengers.

You need caution when your car is behind/back/around them..

anytime without give a proper signal they will enter and exit ways..
