The Nigerian international disappointed with his stay at the San Siro so far, and quashes rumours linking the defender to Genoa...
The agent of A.C Milan left-back, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Taye-Taiwo-c34728, insists that his client is disappointed with his barren spell at San Siro so far, and is looking to prove his worth at the club.
Taiwo joined the Italian Champions from Olympique Marseille on a free transfer in the summer transfer window. The defender has failed to live up to the expectations of the club, and has disappointed the bosses. The Nigerian international
has also been troubled by a host of injury concerns throughout the season.
It was recently reported that Milan are looking to sign a new left-back in the summer transfer window, and Taiwo is on his way out of San Siro. However, the former Marseille star is determined to fight for his place, and is looking
for a change in fortunes for the remainder of the season.
Agent, Fabio Parisi, insists that the full-back is extremely sad that he has failed to live up to the expectations of the club. The agent cannot understand the defender’s slump in form, and insists that he was a hot property in
the summer.
While talking to the reporters, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Parisi said,
“He’s saddened that he hasn’t been able to demonstrate how much he is worth. A lot of clubs wanted him and he chose Milan.”
Parisi also rejected rumours linking his client with a move to Genoa, and insisted that the Marassi club has not contacted him as yet. However, he remains open to a future move away from the Rossoneri, as Taiwo wants to play regular
football.
“There has never been any kind of negotiation with Genoa. Let’s see what solutions are possible. At the moment there is nothing concrete. Taye just wants to play.”
The 26-year-old has featured in only 8 matches so far this season, four each in the league and the UEFA Champions League.
Milan are second in the Serie A standings and drift leaders, Juventus, by just one point. The Italian Champions will play Novara in their next game on Wednesday, 18 January 2012.
