Taylor Green claims three gold medals in the Australian Age Championships
Taylor Green of QLD took home the Girls 12/13 years 400m title with a stunning time of 4:21.18 minutes at the Australian Age Swimming Championships in the SA Aquatics and Leisure Centre, Adelaide, last month.
On the other hand, S Song of South Australia took home the silver title with a time of 4:23.52 minutes, while Z Lovi of QLD grabbed the bronze with a 4:26.61 minutes effort. G Gubecka was placed fourth in 4:24.62 minutes.
In the Girls 12/13 years 400m IM final, T Green nabbed her second gold title with a winning time of 4:55.20 minutes, while S Haughey of Hong Kong took the silver in 5:01.79 minutes and C Gubecka and A Bowles of QLD finished third in a time of 5:03.21 minutes.
Meanwhile, the Girls 12/13 years 200m IM crown was taken over by S Haughey of Hong Kong with a winning time of 2:18.58 minutes. T Green earned silver in 2:19.56 minutes, while A Forrester of QLD settled third in 2:22.10 minutes. J Schlicht of VIC nabbed
the fourth spot in 2:23.54 minutes.
In the Girls 12/13 years 50m freestyle final, J Schlicht of VIC took home the golden crown with a fabulous time of 26.22 seconds. S Haughey of Hong Kong won the Girls 12/13 100m freestyle title with a sterling time of 56.51 seconds, while she took home her
second gold in the 200m free with a winning time of 2:02.28 minutes.
C Gubecka of QLD nabbed the Girls 12/13 years 800m freestyle title with a fabulous time of 8:54.63 minutes. Meanwhile, A Forrester of QLD snagged the 100m back-stroke crown with an intriguing time of 1:04.61 minutes.
In the Girls 12/13 years 200m back-stroke, A Forrester picked up the top seed with a stunning time of 2:17.60 minutes, while S Haughey of Hong Kong clinched the 100m breast-stroke with a captivating time of 1:13.00 minutes.
The Girls 12/13 years 200m breast-stroke was captured by L Bristow of WA with a fascinating time of 2:41.45 minutes, while J Schlicht of VIC wound up first in the 100m butterfly with a stunning time of 1:01.51 minutes.
Schlicht took home the 200m butterfly title with a winning time of 2:18.92 minutes. On the other hand, Taylor Green rounded out the top two in 2:18.96 minutes and A Bowles of QLD settled third in a time of 2:20.56 minutes.
Jemma Schlicht secured five gold medals in the Girls 12/13 years events at the Australian Age Championships which was quite a remarkable performance from the swimmer. Besides, Amy Forrester snared two gold medals in this championship as well.
