  1. taylor made tour burner irons is not bad.

I suggest you choose a rigt iron for you. Go to a golf shop then compare the feeling when you swing them. You can find the right one.

  2. dude, thats a lot of mumbo jumbo that nobody understands.

Heres the deal on these irons, they are for a better player, they provide the workability of a blade, but the forgiveness of a cavity back. Personally, i do not like Taylormade Irons, i love their drivers, hate their irons and wedges. Seriously, look at the i10 irons, i have them in my bag, along with many PGA Pros, i love them. They've taken my handicap from a 14 to a 9. Love em, they compare to the tour burner irons, but i think the i10s would be a better investment.

  3. New multi-functional sole with beveled trailing edge combines the easy launch of a low CG with the extreme versatility of a thin sole. Medium top-line and intermediate offset offers a clean and classic appearance at address and excellent playability. Thin and fast face (2.2-millimeters thick) delivers high COR to promote faster ball speed and longer distance. Inverted Cone Technology dramatically expands the portion of the club face that delivers high COR for consistently longer distance on off-center hits.

These are very good clubs if you are serious about the game and are will to make the investment.

  4. If you want all of the hype and mumbo jumbo.....Talk to a salesman.   If you want an answer  as to whether they are good for you.......Hit them and see for your self.   Its the only way to decide on a purchase like this anyway.

  5. The tour burner irons are intended for use by the mid to low handicapper.  As a 17 you might be just a little on the high side to get the most out of them.  Take a look at the Burner XD irons as an option to the tours.  The XDs are aimed at the mid to high handicapper.

The benefit of the tours is that they allow the user to 'work the ball' a little more than the XDs but on the downside they're a little tougher club to hit.  The XDs are more forgiving than the tours but you won't be able to work the ball quite as well.

Check at your local golf course to see whether there might be a Taylor Made fitting day coming up.  You'll be able to try both and see which you like better.  (Personally, I like the XDs and I'm also a 17 cap).
