Question:

Taylormade R7 MWT. Is there a chart that shows how different configurations change the trajectory?

I bought the r7 3 wood 15* st and love it. The club was used and did not come with the book detailing the weight configurations. Right now it has a 14g weight by the hosel and a 2g by the toe. Does some have a link that shows what configuration this is? The TM site doesn't seem to go back this far.

Thank you in advance.

  1. If you have the heavier weight by the hosel it is setup to promote a draw. If you move the weight towards the toe it will promote a fade. If you are hitting it well I would leave it but if you are hitting a hook then you would move the weight to the toe to help bring it back on line because the thinking is that it makes it harder to turn over. Might be to much info. but that is the thinking behind the weight technology.

Frank, the link is for a driver. Although the thinking is still the same.

  3. Heyy

It totally depends on your swing machanics

Lets say you suffer from a chronic Snap hook , changing the weights to fade , wont really affect the ball flight that much & chances are you will still hit a snap hook ..

If you hit a soft Draw you may just notice some movement towards a fade.

I didnt really answer your question but i cba to delete it now lol.
