Taylors Sky and Jaytee Pedro to battle it out in the Grade OR Williamhill.com Greyhound Derby 3rd Rnd Heat 6
Taylors Sky will be racing as the odds-on favourite in the Grade OR Williamhill.com Greyhound Derby 3rd Rnd Heat 6 at Wimbledon on 12th May, 2012, where he will take on four other runners for £175 over a distance of 480 metres.
The son of Westmead Hawk, out of Rising Angel, has scored five times in his last six starts, and he is looking in extremely good shape for today’s race.
To improve his form even more, trainer C. Lister ran him through a solo at Wimbledon, where he completed 480 metres in an impressive time of 28.40 seconds.
Taylors Sky led and landed the Grade OR Williamhill.com Derby Trial Stakes Div A at Wimbledon on 7th April, 2012. With his speed, he soon broke to the front of the pack and finished 3 ¾ lengths ahead of, Holycross Prince.
In his most recent start, the white and blue hound landed a massive victory over, Westmead Adonis, by 2 ¼ lengths in the Grade OR Heat on 4th May, 2012.
Whelped on 1st March, 2009, the talented runner is also gaining popularity because his last two victories took place at Wimbledon, and this is his golden opportunity to land another one at the same track.
Jaytee Pedro will not make it easy for, Taylors Sky, to take the race today.
The son of Wheres Pedro, out of Mercury Queen, is not as experienced as the other runners, but his skill level is not to be under-estimated.
Trained by K. Findlay, the black hound demonstrated his potential in the first race of his career, when he triumphed over, Bandicoot Ripley, defeating him by 3 ½ lengths at about 285 metres in 16.38 seconds at Hove.
Whelped on 11th March, 2010, the runner has raced five times at Wimbledon, and because of this, he may be more comfortable on this track.
On 27th April, 2012, he bolted through the track and defeated, Brae Boy, by an immense margin of 6 ¾ lengths in the Grade OR Heat 7 (5 to qualify) at Wimbledon.

He entered the Grade OR Heat 16 with the same momentum and succeeded over, Bubbly Phoenix, by 1 ¾ lengths on 5th May, 2012.
It seems that Taylors Sky will steal the show, but Jaytee Pedro will definitely be a thorn in his way.
