  1. You probably wouldn't want to make a tea out of the contents of a capsule for a few reasons.

First, the heat... whenever you heat an herb, you'll destroy some of it's nutritional integrity. It's the same reason fresh veggies are better than boiled veggies as far as the nutrients are concerned.

Second, the quantity. A capsule has less than a gram of contents while a teabag will commonly have 10-15 grams in it. If you tried to make a tea out of it, it would be really weak at best.

Third, the excipients. Most capsules will have some other ingredients that are used as flow agents or to help the integrity of the pill... and some of them don't taste very good at all, especially if you're sipping the tea where you'll get more of the taste.

All in all, I wouldn't recommend it. If it's in a pill form, it's designed to be best to swallow it... if it's in a teabag, it's designed to be drank as a tea.
