I am having a tea party for my child that will be turning three at the end of May. I have invited a few older girls that are so excited. The girls wanted to dress as princess and I will have my daughter dressed as a princess also. My question is what should I serve. I really can't have tea can I? there will be younger children also. Should I serve cake, finger sandwiches(what kind) cookies etc. Any ideas. I think it will extremely fun. I would like it to be special.

  1. OK ! now you can make it special by sereving like rasberry tea my lil sis is 4 and loves it !!!Or some koolaid (kids allways like the blue)!!! you can also put out some peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches cut into small triangle pieces also some peices of choclate cakes (and vanilla i guess). If you want to have cookies do oreos!!! lil kids love the middles no matter wat!!!! GOOD LUCK 2 YOU AND UR DAUGHTER!!!! wish you the best and that ur daughter has a terrific party harty arty!!! LOL ^_^

  2. Drinks: CLEAR grape/fruit juice.  Dear god whatever you do do NOT give young "princesses" colored juice.

Food: Kids are kids and they'll love anything a mommy serves.  As far as finger sandwhiches maybe make some mini grilled cheeses. Put ham in some of them or something.

Cake?: ehhh...not a good idea (chocolate icing is a big no no)  If you want to give desert give them little sugar cookies or home made rice krispie treats. Or individual Cupcakes that they can decorate..messy but fun.

Basically dont give anything that will stain.  I'm 15 years old and I STILL spill stuff on myself lol.  I wouldn't trust any kids with colored juice, chocolate, jelly, ect.

But hey as long as they have a good time thats all that matters! Enjoy!

  3. INVITE SHAPED LIKE A TEA CUP THAT SAYS IT'S

NIF-TEA TO BE THREE COME CELEBRATE WITH THEE AS ________ TURNS THREE!

  4. Little sandwiches cut with cookie cutters (stars, hearts)  ... a fruit platter or kebobs.  You could either buy a "cupcake cake" where all the cupcakes are pushed together and frosted as one cake on top (easier to serve & for the kids to eat) at Kroger's bakery, or probably any other grocery bakery (in whatever theme you like)... or you could make a pound cake and bake it in a pyrex mixing bowl.  Then stick a doll torso into the top (any craft store) and use the squirt-frosting in the can with tips, to cover the top of the dress and decorate the "skirt" .......There are alot of "Disney Princess" items available for invitations, decorating & favors..... I'm not sure kids would even LIKE tea, so why not serve lemonade in tea cups?   You could buy some big plastic coffee cups at a $1 store and put lip balm, hair scrunchies, barrettes, candy, etc. in them and wrap in clear cellophane and tie with a ribbon....  get tiaras and wands for all the girls

  5. Serve sweet tea & Apple juice, pbj sandwiches cut in different shapes, have fruit with marshmellow cream and cream cheese mixed together (it's so good), have cup cakes and let them decorate their own, play musical chairs, pass the present like hot potato, the one who gets out gets the gift, and you begin again with another gift, save the best gift for last. Everyone goes home with something!

    Have fun!

  6. Sure you can serve tea, just make it decaf or herbal.  It's a birthday, so you need to do cake.  How about individually decorated cupcakes.  Why not PB&J finger sandwiches with a tray of fresh veggies and fruit?

  7. well what is ur daughters favorite food u can serve that cookies, cake, sandwichs, choclate dipped strawberries, ice cream, ham and cheese crackers, brownies, apple juice, apple sider, etc. hope that helps have fun. hope u dress up and have fun with ur 3 year old daughter
