Yes I now know not to put tea tree oil in my ear. But now that it is done it is burning and really hurts. Is there anything to stop the horrible pain?

  1. I would wash out what you can from your ear canal with warm soapy water.  shouldn't hurt any worse than it already does and will dilute the tree oil already in there.  if you have access to one of those blue bulb syringes new moms get to suck mucus, you can gently squirt the warm soapy water into your ear while holding your head sideways over the sink so the water goes in and right back out.  That should rinse out your ear.  Good luck.

  2. Ohh geez hun, that's nasty for you ..............  simply put 2 tablespoons full of white vinegar into a cup and fill with warm water, swish it around and soak a cotton ball in it .........  squeeze the excess out of the cotton ball and dab inside your ear ............  plain old water won't realkalise the ph level of your skin but the vinegar and water mix will ............ it will also take away the nasty itch & sting ...........  don't ever ingest tea tree oil or use on young children under 5 years old either as their immature systems will likely rebel ♥

the vinegar & water mix will also work if you have an allergic skin reaction to a new perfume, body lotion, soap, laundry powder etc........... ;0)

    good health 2 u

    cheers

  3. Add some olive oil or almond oil to your ear. It will help dilute the tea tree oil. Let that sit in your ear for a min or two and then turn your head and let the oil drain out. Pain should be gone in about 30 minutes

  4. Wash your ear out with warm water.  Just keep flushing it out until you get the oil out and the burning stops.  You may actually end up with a chemical burn in your ear canal.  If doing that doesn't stop the burning, I would suggest going to the ER before you cause any permanent damage to your ear.

And next time, don't listen to the "advice" of non-medical people on the Internet.  When you have a medical question go to a reputable website that is run by a hospital and search there for answers.  Or ask your doctor for advice.
