  1. Lady...

Let me help you, please. First, there is no such thing as a British accent (in my opinion). Accent is something extremely localized. Even within Britain, you will find various accents. Yorkshire people talk very differently to the way the Scots talk or may be people from London or Leicester may talk. I say thins because I have stayed there for 3 years. Its true for any language and any country, even Indians speak English differently in the north and the south. I hope you agree.

I would just say...try and speak clear English which is easy to understand. Once you spend some time there, you will automatically pick up the accent of your region. It happened to me when I was in Sheffield, in a years time the Yorkshire accent rubbed on me.

If you still want a quicker way...I would say you can do the following

    1. Watch British Movies...search online and then get some DVDs

    2. Listen to BBC news

    3. Listen to BBC radio, online

The more you listen...the quicker you pickup. Good Luck

  2. What type of British accent are you talking about?  Is it an accent in Scotland, England or Wales?  Then you would need to specify which area as there's so many different accents spoken within these 3 places.
