Teach myself how to play guitar?

i want to learn how to play the guitar, but without lessons. i have an aucostic guitar, are tthere any good websites for learning how to play?

i go to fretplay.com. it teaches you tabs and chords. i learned many songs from there like crazy train and beat it

If you play another instrument then it won't be too hard. Get an electric guitar though, it will get your motivation a kick start.

Learn by ear man. Listen to the songd you like then try to mimik them. Its the only way to get what you want......to get what you need.

Look for instructional videos on youtube.  Once you get the basics down and learn chords, you'll be able to teach yourself lots of songs without being able to read music.  You can just look at guitar tabs to see what chords to play, and then listen to the song to learn when to strum.  It takes a little time, but it gets easy, and it's fun.
