  1. Teacher assistants can actually make really good money if they have experience and training.  I took the teacher assistant program two years ago and have two years of experience working with young children and with that i get paid $17/hour.  The longer you work and the more experience you gain, the more money you make.

  2. depends on the state usually start at minimum wage

  3. not much at all. I was a teachers aide at a preschool and made about 6.50 an hour. lame I know but its a great stepping stone to teaching or even day care, thats what I did with the great experience.

  4. minimum wage. unfortunately.

  5. I live in West TN and aides here make between $8 and $10 an hour.  It's not a high paying job but it can be very rewarding in other ways.  Plus, they are out for the summer!  :)

  6. It all depends what area of the states you are in, you should contact your local district you are in and ask how to apply and what kind of education is needed to fufill the position. some states require you to have a 2 year degree

  7. i know that the teacher's  aides in my school district make about $10/hour starting.  that is in a major metropolitan area though....it's probably less in the burbs and rural areas.

  8. It will depend on where you live and what kind of program it is but the simple answer is that they usually don't make much.
