Like a teacher like you deserves a mint and you give them a box of mints with that on it. That sort of thing.

  1. my fourth grade teacher loves his easy button. if you do get an easy button through in an apple just for fun.

you could also get her/him a pencil and notepad that says #1 teacher or something.

or a funny teachers rule book or a new set of chapter books.

  2. Sometime u can give ur teacher school stuff. But for somthing different u should give her somthing that intrests her! Like one of my teachers for example she loves chocolate so i would give her chocolate! hope i helped! (:

  3. The good ol' apple.  Just kidding :p.

It really depends on the teacher.  Their personality or sense of humor depends on it.

You know better than any of us, just get what you think is right :].

  4. Candles are always a safe gift. But if you wanna be clever, you can buy an apple shaped paper weight. :)

  5. Get her flowers and a card telling her how much you appreciate her. Or get the whole class to join in and get her something more expensive. Like I am not really sure but have the class give ideas and choose the best one

  6. I just made a REALLY cute gift for a  teacher. It was a teacher survival kit. You take a small jar (relish jar), put items in like, a eraser, shiny penny, marbles, googly eyes, etc. and they have different meanings such as:

Eraser: for helping me correct my mistakes

Marbles: to replace the ones you've lost

Googly eyes: for when you wish you

REALLY had eyes in the back of your head

    Rubberband: for being flexible

There are so many different possibilties. I had a total of 20 items, then printed the list & sayings in cute font and paper. GOOD LUCK and have fun with all the ideas.

  7. give a teacher candels but nice ones. maybe some lotion or even massage lotion also bath beads and aroma therapy oil for the bath. its all cheap things that are very very nice.

  8. apple, books, chocolate, cups, mugs, candles.

  9. I always give giftcards.. to any place!

But they always love Borders, Starbucks, and department stores like Nordstrom and Macy's the best.

    Good luck!

  10. a thankyou card, a teacher mug, and rose.

  11. Coffee mugs, fake apples, real apples, creative cards, hand made cards, store bought cards, dry erase markers, chalk, 12-pack of pencils or pens

Or instead of just giving the teacher on of those things, make a gift basket and put ALL of those things in it!

(or as much as you can afford)

  12. a gift card to a bookstore or teacher store...if you want to do something else, you could give them a candle that says teachers light a flame that lasts forever...a card expressing genuine appreciation is also always very appreciated.

  13. WHY AND WHEN DID GIVING TEACHERS A GIFT COME INTO PLAY THEY ARE DOING A JOB IF THEY ARE MORE CONCERNED FOR THE STUDENTS THEN WHY DO THEY GO ON STRIKE FOR MORE PAY AND SHORTER WORKING HOURS.ITS THEIR JOB TO TEACH AND MOST DONT GIVE A RATS BEHIND ABOUT WHO THEY TEACH OR THE RESULTS AS FOR A GIFT I SAY BITE ME

  14. I've been teaching for 7 years and the best gifts I have received were gift cards to Starbucks or a bookstore!!!  All my coworkers feel this way.  We actually trade gift cards.  Bookstores are the best!

  15. If you have a staples in your city then go there and get an easy button... teachers go crazy for them. Or maybe even a shirt or cup that says best teacher ever.

If your teacher is a smoker then give him a cigarette xD <—joka

(Or give them a lighter) <---- Joke

(Or burn their lawn saying Best Teacher Ever) <--- Joke

    (Burn there house) <---- joke

  16. this is easy a nice picture of you and sign your pix and add in picture frame so he/she can hang or display on her desk..good luck =)

  17. Please, please, please - no more mugs, lotions, soaps, or candles!

That said, at least for me, it is always the thought that counts.  My favorite part of any teacher gift is the card.  The ones that have notes written from the child, and the parents... I cherish those. I love the notes that really express how much the child and family has learned, grown, and gotten to know me as their teacher and how well I know them.

Not everyone can afford to give a teacher gift, so the cards are what I always make a big deal out of.

On a side note, some of my favorite "standard" gifts are the ones I use a lot:  I LOVE getting Target gift cards, they are wonderful, as I can use them for personal stuff as well as school.  Starbucks cards are a treat too, as that is the only way I stop at Starbucks.  Bookstore gift cards are nice, but I prefer Borders GC, as they can then be used on amazon.com.  Visa gift cards are nice too.

The best gifts I've gotten were gifts that reflected me.  One year, the year after I moved, I was given a gift card to Ikea to help furnish my house.  Another year, the class knew I loved to shop at Trader Joes, so they pooled their $$ and I got a huge GC to Trader Joes.  Very practical, but also very thoughtful.  Pedicures are nice, so are massages, if you know the teacher likes that kind of stuff.

After all these years, the gift that still holds the most space in my heart is a scrapbook that several parents got together to make.  There were a dozen or so pages of whole class activities, then each child got a half page to decorate.  It is a true gift that I will always cherish.

Whatever gift you choose, give from the heart, and you'll always pick a winner.

  18. Usually I get my teachers flowers, gift cards, or anything that says teacher on it. One time though my teacher was a big Longhorn fan so I gave her a can with a longhorn on it and it was filled with chocolate and a card that said thank you for being a good teacher.

  19. I usually get gift certificates to 1) William's Sonoma, Barnes and Noble, Borders, etc.

OR for the woman teachers 2) Bath and Body Works, lotion stores, bath gels, soaps. etc.

    =]

  20. Without being weird it would be a good idea to give them something personal a picture or book or drawing... they get lots of students you should probably give him or her something that would help them remember you.

  21. maybe some flowers well decorated, a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates... that will show the teacher that ur a nice person

  22. well u get like a nice pretty coffee cup put a teddy bear & a  flower & a chocalate or lollipop & there it is

  23. how about a sign that says "best teacher" or "favorite teacher" that he/she can hang on their door

or u can always do an apple =)
