What are the tests out there??

It all depends on the state you want to teach in.  Each state has its own certification tests.  It also depends on what level you want to teach, i.e., early childhood, elementary, secondary.  If secondary, then what subject.  There are too many variables to answer this question.

There are national certification tests that allow you to teach in all the states in the US. (assuming you are in the US). There are also state tests that each state administers. Most have general tests and them specific field tests. Why don't you contact the state you are interested in teaching in and find out what the specific requirements are.
