  1. teachers have favorite students

    students have favorite teachers

  2. Some teachers like the quiet A students.  I like the wannabe gang bangers who pretend to be tough and they like to argue with me.  Teachers just have preferences.

  3. i hate it when teachers pick favorites. its just not right. but anyways... the kids she picked as favorite probably speak up alot in class and raise their hand alot. probably. im not sure. but try speaking up in class. try raising your hand sometimes. i hope this works.

                                SS :P

  4. they chose favorites cause they want them to do things for them...

and apart from that she might just like them....

and if you want to be a favorite you need to talk to her/him more....

or he/she might just not like you.

  5. It happens.  Some kids just appeal to certain teachers.  Just do your work to the best of your ability, get through the class and move on.

  6. You may really be way off the mark.  Every year, I have an activity where I write letters of appreciation to all of my students.  That leads them to discuss who they think my favorite student might be.  They are always wrong.  Usually my favorite students are the ones that teach me something.  They're usually rude and interrupt a lot, but they are always interesting.

Quiet students who do their work are rarely my favorites because, to be honest, I never get to know them.  They rarely speak or act interested in any way.  Even when I try to draw them out and get to know them, some are just too shy (or believe they are being polite) to ever show themselves as real people.

It's not that I wouldn't like them, if they showed an interest...but they don't.  It's not dislike I feel for them...it's indifference.  I hate to say that, but how can you get to like someone you don't really know...and doesn't want to let you know the real person behind their "great student" mask?
