Teacher marking coursework unfairly?

Question

I'm doing btec level 2 business and i keep geting pass whilemy mates are getting merit in the coursework,as my sister doing a-level and my mum a teacher,she help me on my coursework and i let my friend use it,one of my friend copy nearly all of it and when we had to give it in to mark he gave it back and wrote excellent on his while he wrote improvement on my work,even my work is better quality then my friend and he just telling me it need improvement.
