  1. there must be a teacher supervisor - Head of French - who you can talk to .... this teacher is no good if you're not learning - worse if she makes you feel like giving up your classes because of her failings as a teacher....

if there isn't a Head of French (or Languages) - the speak to your head/deputy head of the school..... your education is more important than her ego as a teacher.....

Perhaps get your parents to go with you....

    :)

  2. Go and see the head of Languages in your school, explain how you feel and say you want to sort this out before it escalates etc, he or she should sort it out if no luck go to your head of year and tell them what you have done so far, this will show you are mature and want to solve the situation. Get your parents involved if necessary. Dont feel down, I am sure you are very good a french but need the right teacher. I think you have shown great maturity and will go far, now go and eat chocolate and stay strong.

  3. try talking to the teacher afterschool or try findind something in common so you and teach couild get along. But not to the point of a "teacher's pet". Let me know how it works out!

  4. You need to tell her how you feel maybe after school or at break where nobody will know. If u feel like you cant then you should confide in another teacher who understands maybe they can talk to then for you. The other possibilty is your headteacher or deputy

  5. Talk to the the teacher.  Since she's new and doesn't know you or your classmates, maybe she didn't realize she lost everybody on the first day because they couldn't follow along.  Maybe she thinks you guys are better at French than you really are.  Once she figures out that you guys aren't dumb, just not as fluent as she seemed to think you were, maybe later she'll be more open to repeating herself to explain things.

And if you're afraid to talk to the teacher, talk to a guidance counselor / academic advisor about the situation.  It may be easier for the advisor to approach the teacher than it is for you as a student.  And if that doesn't help, then work with the advisor about changing to another class.

  6. go talk to your teacher... but in a NICE way... tell her what your old teacher did and tell her that the class learned a lot from it... getting use to a teachers style of teaching can be very difficult!!! but do this calmly and tell her you talked to the other class mates about it and the agree with you... but please do this respectful.

  7. You have to speak up. Whatever grade you achieve will change your future, especially as you have such a passion to carry on studying French. It is not just you being affected - all of your class will suffer unless you all say something.

Your teacher has a responsibility to teach you properly, and this means helping you to learn rather than showing off her skill. She is paid to do her job properly and you can deal with this in many ways...

Speak to others in your class and find out what they think. If a few of you get together (or the whole class) you can speak to the teacher or the head of French/languages at your school. If you are not comfortable with this, ask your parents to contact the school and inform the head/senior team that your class feels you are not learning effectively. Teachers have accountability, don't be scared.

Try to not make it look like you are ganging up against her, but use constructive criticism and examples from the lesson to support her failings. As long as you put forward a case based on evidence from your lessons you should see changes. She is definitely doing something wrong as a good teacher would not make you feel so down about yourself.

    Good luck!

  8. can't you transfer out to a different teacher..if not take another course...or if you rlly love french, file a complaint..seriously. teachers like those shouldn't even be allowed to teach. i've dealt with one before and my mom and other parents made a complaint, and the next day she was gone =] good luck
