Teacher shouldn't be my child?

Question

Is it possible to tell the principal and the teacher not to beat my child under any circumstances at school? I dont believe anyone but myself and family have the right to put their hands on my child. If the school disobey my orders what rights? Could I deal with the teacher myself?

I think you should let your wishes be known. My mom had to do that when I used to go to school in jamaica. She wrote a letter to him and he never laid a hand on me again.

I think you should make it clear that you do not want your child punished physically.  It is your right to demand so.  If they do not honor your wishes then you must take the matter to a higher official or pull your child out of that school completely.

If you grow the child a certain way you DO NOT HAVE TO beat an intelligent child...HOWEVER, since you have grown him to only respond to a good spankin, how else do you think the school will be able to control him?

The teacher doesnt have the right to spank your child, but please give just as much attention to DISCIPLINING your CHILD as you give to disciplining the school.

teachers dont have authority to beat in jamaica anymore. It is currently classified as abuse if a teacher physically disciplines any child. there have been criminal charges pressed recently for incidents of this. If you go to a teacher and tell him/her not to beat your child that will be interpreted wrongly, as if you are bullying him/her and perhaps accusing the teacher of actually having done it.
