Teachers, useful subjects?

mainly for Primary education, but if i was to want to do this as a career after High school, what subjects are most useful?

like English, Maths, etc? thanks a bunch =]

Elementary math and science are big fields. If you certify in both (primary and secondary) math and science you'll open a lot more doors and be way more marketable :)!

For primary education you need a very well rounded education and I would recommend studying as many different subjects as you can handle.  Yes language skills are important but most primary teachers are weaker in math and science.

Reading and Language Arts is the top two.

Every student needs help with reading, vocabulary, writing, phonics, comprehension,

etc. Students need to be able to read and comprehend what is written.
