  1. I teach music too!  I had a principal tell me that if it were my tenure year, she wouldn't give me tenure.  She said not only did I have no control, but the other teachers said I cry too much! (to this day I have no idea what she was talking about.)  She said the kids don't like me and that I needed to take a survey from the kids about what they wanted to do in my room. This was her very first observation of me.  She only stayed at our school for three years.


  2. My principal is very supportive.  She has never said anything insulting to me.  If your administrator is insulting you, then I would change jobs, if I were you.
