  1. The term "teacher" can be used loosely to show that you are wrong. Teacher is someone who passes knowledge. How would you have learned anything in life without teachers showing the first steps to learn for yourself. Your mother taught you when you were younger and if you ask any mother being a "teacher" is part of the job.

Now imagine a world where there were no teachers. Now that mothers are at work most of the time, where would you get the essentials of learning? Do you honestly think an 8 year old is going to sit down by himself and read?

No you are wrong, as long as there is a will to learn, there is a need. I am not saying that you learn everything from a teacher, but they are the guides that direct us to what we need to learn.

Debate all you want, its a teacher that  taught you how.

  2. We get most of our knowledge about social norms and values from our families and friends.  Plus the fact that we live in a technological age, computers will do most of the schooling in the future.  I can see the day when kids in the U.S. learn in "virtual schools."  All computerized and supervised by somebody who services the computers.

Self motivation will be the key to success or failure!
