  1. some schools require a note, stating whey you have to be excused, without one that can be considered an absence.

  2. No this does not count as an absent day, or class.  At the very least the school should recognize your being present for the first few classes.  If the teacher of that last class marks you as absent for that class, bring in the invoice/receipt/proof/parental note that you had had a dental appointment.  If he/she doesn't recognize that, then take it up with attendance at the school office, they certainly will.

  3. No, if you were there for majority of the period then you are not absent....unless your class is only 20 min then you should not be absent.

  4. Not if your parents come to check you out.  If your teacher threatened you with an "absence" he/she is making a fool out of him/herself!

    You are safe!

  5. I'm not a teacher, but at our school if you're there for a majority of the day then you're not considered absent. we don't judge it by the time in that particular class period.

  6. Nope! If you're in class 50% of the period or more, you're counted present.

  7. It depends on your school's policy but it may count as a tardy (we have pm tardies for those who leave a little early).

  8. it does not! it counts as a tardy i bet!!!
