Teachers kids advantage!!!!!!!!!!!?

I used to be I'm public school. but the reason i went out was because the teachers kids got to go ahead and go onto books and papers 1 grade ahead while i was as smart as them, sometimes even smarter and when i finish a test early i just went to the pc while the teachers kids did more advanced papers. like in 4th grade. a teachers child (and a guy who was pretty smart) went on to dividing with more complicated numbers while i was getting the same grades and not going into it. but there was one teachers kid who did deserve the work he got because he was the science teachers son and he was super smart! why do teachers kids get an advantage like that!

They are not suppose to. All kids are suppose to be given the same instruction. This is illegal.  Did you graduate or are you in homeschool?

I can't tell you for sure why you didn't get the opportunities that it seemed the teachers' kids got.  I can say, though, that students are NOT all supposed to get the same instruction.  We have moved so far beyond the cookie cutter, one-size-fits-all instruction.  Teachers work hard to challenge each student and get them to improve...even if that means they are given work from the next grade level.  It depends how long ago that you were in the public school, and how cutting edge your school was, though, because this push for more differentiation is relatively recent, it wasn't that way when I was in school.
