  1. ohh wow i had that for an assignment before too lol..what the class called...cuz i still may have it

  2. Check your email.

  3. What is this for?

  4. 1) a) Disciplinary situations come to mind... how to resolve/handle different behavioral situations as they come up. b) Which students will do certain tasks. c) Answering questions they come up with that you never thought of.

    2) a) What part of the curriculum to start the year off with - I decided on writing but will be flexible as I learn about the students and their strengths and weaknesses - could be reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, etc. What do they need to be ready for the state tests from Day 1?

      b) How to set up my grading program - to change percentages of the components that will equal 100%, or not.

      c) Should I let the new students sit where and with whom they want to? I decided against it... they will have assigned seating and will be told they will have to move as I see fit.

      d) How hard-nosed should I be the first few weeks? I am going to be hard-nosed but make it sensible and clear to them. i.e. we are going to enforce no talking when I speak because everyone needs to hear instruction and directions, and you will have other times to talk.

      e) Policy on late or make-up work. Less 5% for one day late, less 10% for two days late. No late work accepted after two days.

    3) Don't know save for some I have already done. Just refining and helping things to run a bit more smoothly.

    4) I reflect all day, each day, on the fly. My last period often sees a slightly different lesson than my first period. Some things don't work like you think they will, so you adjust to be more effective. Nothing wrong with that.
