  1. you should be happy you have teachers that care that much about you!

  2. Not a teacher... but STOP CUTTING?

I mean that would totally definitely for sure make them stop trying to protect you.

  3. It is always out of care. As far as stopping- not likely. It can only get worse- like requiring a person to accompany you to the bathroom or only allowing you to go at the clinic with the nurse. Not only is the school responsible for your behavior legally to an extent, but morally as well. You should really try to battle your demons and reach out to these teachers that are doing what they can at the moment to try and help you.

  4. I'm a teacher and sometimes let my kids go (if we are not doing anything important) Cant you go to the bathroom between classes? And if you really have to go tell her/him its an EMERGENCY!!

  5. Quit cutting yourself for one. If you have issues and can't handle them reasonably then you need to see a therapist or be on medication.

If you get hurt while on their watch, it's a big headache for them, and they REALLY do care. They might just be a teacher a to you, but they wouldn't have taken the job if they didn't care about the welfare of students.

The only way it's going to stop is for them to build their trust back up, so don't give them any reason to not trust you.

  6. Teachers have a duty of care within school hours, they have a legal responsibility to keep you safe. This includes letting you out of the classroom. Build up their trust by showing them you can be trusted by going straight there and back, or ask to have a 'buddy' to accompany you. Your teacher is not able to leave your class during lesson time without asking another adult to watch them.

  7. I teach 2nd grade so I don't think my students are cutting themselves. Very rarely do I let them go to the restroom on their own and yes, if I do , I count the minutes. The point is that you are supposed to be in class. If you are not there, it means that you are missing something important. Of course, I know that every now and them people 'gotta go'. But, it should be an every day thing or a many times a day thing. If I see someone that is insisting that they need to go, I write a note to the parent and tell them that there might be a medical problem.

  8. maybe you shouldn't be so emo and if they don't let you go to the bathroom p.is/s on their face

  9. Try to go to the bathroom during your lunch period, when you are more free to move. Cutting and the emotions that go with it are overwhelming enough, without everyone in the class, the teacher, and you, being reminded of it every time you have to go to the bathroom. Luckily, it's the end of the school year. Hopefully they will forget about it next year.

In the meantime, talk to someone about seeing a counselor/therapist so you can be evaluated for depression. Also, talk to your doctor about anti-depressants.

For the record, they do it out of care. Most of the people who responded to your question made well thought-out answers, showing they care about a perfect stranger. Imagine how the people who know you feel.

    Good luck, and be careful!
