Hello, I am interested in teaching ESL in Panama. Does anyone have any experience or information on this? Is is difficult to find a job? How are the living conditions?

  1. I think that isn't so difficult to get a job, because there are many institutions that will hire you.. if you have a strong curriculum. In addition, the living conditions are not so expensive.

  2. I would check out the institutions first and see if they are hiring. Living in Panama City can be quite expensive. My parents pay $550 a month for an apartment there. Also you would have to check to see what the government would require you to come as a worker there. The best advice to hire a lawyer to prepare your papers, etc.
