I am a BS Biology graduate from the Philippines. I also earned a Certificate in Teaching and a license of teaching high school biology there. I taught high school biology and chemistry for two years. Presently, I am now in Japan. I came here in 2005, took up Japanese language classes and finished a Masters in Environmental Studies major in Environmental Chemistry and Microbiology after 2 years. I am now pursuing a Ph.D in in the same major and hoping to graduate in 2010. I like research, but I enjoy teaching. One of my plans after graduation is to teach in a U.S. high school. I can teach biology, chemistry , and environmental sciences(I am not sure if this is being taught in the U.S high schools). I can also teach Japanese. What is my chance of being accepted if I apply? What procedures are necessary? Is there a growing demand of multi-major high school teachers in the U.S now? Are environmental science and Japanese also taught in some schools in the U.S?
