Teaching a beginner tap class.. help please! =)?

hey, im teaching a beginner tap class, ages 5-9. Just wondering if u could give me some tips on what i should do (teach them). like brushes, shuffles, flaps etc. Thanks!

  1. Start of with the basics: Grapevine, sunshine/rain, buffalo step, flap bo-changes, heel steps & etc. Before everypractice have them practice the basics to ensure them that they will get better. Once they understand the flap and the heel they will comprehend faster. Tap isn't a type of dance that takes a year to understand- it takes many years to be perfected.
