Teaching a class to adults and children?

How do you keep it interesting for both age groups?

Are you trying to teach adults and children in the same class?  If so, you might try giving the kids some busy work while you go over the material with the adults.  Then give the adults some classwork to reinforce the lesson while you teach the kids. You can also use the adults with a good understanding of the material to tutor the kids while you tutor the adults that need more help.  I also think that you will need two lesson plans because not only will the adults pick up the concepts more quickly than the children, but they will need more detail and in depth anaylisis than the kids.
