Question:

Teaching art in UK?

I have completed my A-Level art and am going to do my foundation art in September.

Next year I am going to do BaHons fine art.

After that I want to do a Pgce to teach art.

But one problem is that I have a very low grade in maths, I know maths has nothing at all to do with art, do you think it will go against me?

  1. You'll need a gcse in Maths and have to pass the Maths skills test. Everyone manages this eventually

  2. Absolutely not. You do however need a grade C maths or above to get on a PGCE.

If by very low grade you mean below C, you will have a problem getting on to a PGCE course.
