  1. You need a lot of patience and be familiar with the difficulties/ needs of your students. Children with disabilities have conditions that prevent them from having regular educational experiences. Some may have attention disorders or emotional disturbances that affect their learning. Others may have neurologically based learning disabilities. Still others, may have social deficits that negatively affect academic performance. You need patience, understanding, and creativity to do well in this job. You should be the biggest cheerleader/advocate for your students.

  3. teaching kids with disabilitites is stressful and you must have lots of patience. however, it is so rewarding! a lot of satisfaction comes out of helping others, especially kids. i also think it helps you tolerate others well and raise kids if you have them or plan to.

  4. You need to put more details into your question. What sort of age range and mental or physical disabilities? Working with children with disabilities is very hard work and sometimes frustrating. It is also extremely rewarding and the job satisfaction can be wonderful.
