I am just wondering whether a teaching degree that was obtained in NSW would be recognised in other states such as Queensland or WA?

I know the structures are different in each state, but what extra do you have to do to get the teaching qualification in other states?

Thanks

  1. yes

  2. I think you will find that there are some differences between states- you should check with the Education Dept in the other states to make sure you have the right combination of subjects to get registration there. When I was studying B Ed in NSW those of us who wanted to teach in Vic or Qld were advised to take particular electives to ensure we could be registered.

  3. Yeah of course it would be - I know stacks of people I went to uni with who did either Bachelors of Teaching or D Ed's and yeah a number of them are teaching both interstate now and even overseas...they studied in VIC
