  1. I believe you can find work in Brazil teaching private classes as long as you are not expecting to be paid like a full time job. If you are doing it to be able to have an extended stay in Brazil where you already have a cheap place to stay you should be fine.

There are X number of private schools that give English classes and believe me, they need native speakers. Search for "cursos ingles brasil" on Google and you will find schools to contact.

  2. Hi,

Depends on what country you are going to and what you are willing to be paid.  I am not an English teacher but have lived in Peru, Equador and Costa Rica..... I have taught without a degree in Peru and Costa Rica.  In addition, once you have taught (you may already be an English teacher), you can teach from your home..... there are hundreds of people wanting to learn. Commitmentttment and salary are important.  I tried to give some free lessons and some scholarships to some and found it was not a good idea.  Paying for classes helps students keep focused and come on time to class!  It is a very rewarding experience.  If you go to the jungles of Peru.... listen.  My students loved to sing "If Your Happy and You Know It, Clap Your Hands!"  Look for English newspapers like the Tico Times of Costa Rica that advertise, too.  I wish you success.
