Question:

Teaching in Rhode Island?

I've been told the districts have only just begun doing the bulk of their interviews, but I find that so hard to believe this late in the summer.

I've flooded every district with my resume and application, followed up with phone calls, and still have heard nothing. I don't understand and I don't know if it's time to simply stop keeping my hopes up.

Anybody that went through the process know anything more? Thanks for any help, guys, I'm really upset about all this :(

  1. While many schools have hired keep in mind that there is always that one teacher who decided to change jobs.  This change sets in motion other changes and thus schools will start interviewing again.

I live in RI but work over the line in MA.  I got hired in late August (about 8 years ago now).

I know it is hard not to be upset but keep scouring the ProJo, and also put your feelers out for other options, just in case.

    Good luck!
