  1. Depends what kinda teaching your doing!

  2. maybe. but i think it is depend on you

  3. In any main stream or private school you will need a UK recognised teaching qualification. The department of education will advise you which are accepted. If you wish to teach English as a foreign language you will need a TEFL qualification. You will also be subject to an enhanced CRB check and will need to wait until this is cleared to work in any setting with young or vulnerable people. You will also need to demonstrate you are able to legally work in the UK.

If you are already residing in the UK and have a degree from this country you may be eligible to join the articled teachers scheme or similar which allows schools to employ and train you at the same time.

  4. Technically yes...

You can teach in the FE sector (post 16) without a teaching qualification but you must achieve one within your first three years of teaching. because of the subjects offered at this level, in many subjects you do not need a degree either just relevant industry experience. i.e. construction skills, hair & beauty, catering etc.

Any compulsory education 4-16 requires a PGCE and relevant degree befor you will be considered for a post.

  5. You need qualified teacher status and be registered with the General Teaching Council to teach in any school in England supported by public funds, but there are different ways of gaining QTS.
