OK so we nhave to pick careers and write a essay about it and i really want to be a teacher.

i want to teach either kindergarden or 1st grade.

in not sure what they learn in those grades.

could someone tell me what grade you learn about like...abcs and money and the teacher reads books and all that stuff. like not math yet.

i really like being around small kids.

could you give me links to like a child in kindergarden and one in 1st grade?

  1. Kindergartners master and review the alphabet. They learn to count to 100 and do simple addition in math. They also learn about community helpers and simple science concepts. They learn to print their names and the letters of the alphabet.

    First graders are actively learning to read 1 syllable words and sight words. They add and subtract, count money, and tell time. They often study American symbols or countries around the world and simple science concepts like the properties of air and water, plants, and animals. They do more handwriting and start writing sentences.

    www.worldbook.com has a Typical Course of Study from Preschool through Grade 12 that gives bulleted lists of what students typically cover at each grade level. Perhaps that may help you on your career paper.

    Teachers read books to children at all elementary grade levels.
