Question:

Teaching self Arabic?

I'm 15, and I want to teach myself Arabic. I realize that I can't teach myself to be fluent, but I want to know the basics. Do you think that I should memorize a bunch of phrases, or should I teach myself Level 1 out of a book?

If any of you have good websites, can you give them to me?
