  1. Haha...I don't have a clue but i think its very funny that you made karate look like it came from Mexico!!

    Good Luck!

  2. Am not sure you can properly teach yourself a martial art on on your own.

Sure, fine to practise the movements, exercise and any kata (forms) - indeed a little solo practice like this is great for any MA.

The problem is that on your own you never get to practise properly and there is nobody around to correct your mistakes.

My suggestion is to practice a few moves a few times a week and hopefully a class or teacher will turn up somewhere within travelling distance.

    Good luck with it!

(by the way, spelling is: tae-kwon-do)

Note to LJacks: Karate is a Japanese MA and different to Tae-Kwon-Do which comes from Korea.

  3. Tae Kwon Doe is usually taught as part of a large chain with plenty of training centers. However i would recommend that you don't train solo because you could injure yourself performing a complex move that 'looks easy' there's a reason why instructers have the belt to show they can teach others. If you can't find the same style art you were practising before have a look to see what is being offered in your area, it will probably be similar.
