Teagan attractive bard or poet, philosopher. Derived from Teague, Tadhg, Taidgh, Tiege all a Gaelic form of Timothy. Surname O'Tadhgain. Does not sound pretty on a girl at all. I know a lot of boys with this name and it fits them. I know some people like it for a girl but it is what it is A BOYS NAME and so is Regan/Reagan I especially love this name because it reminds me of the greatest president ever!!!!!!!!!! Also parents Blake, Elliot, Luca(yes i have heard this on a girl), Jordan, Dylan are all boys names as well.

  1. Personally I dont like either names for either gender but I agree there are  unisex names that work well but some names are just to feminine sounding for boys and some names are to masculine sounding for girls

  2. According to this meaning the name Regan is a good name for either. http://www.babynamenetwork.com/baby_name...

This site says Teagan is for both: http://babynamesworld.parentsconnect.com...

This one says it's only for girls http://www.babynamenetwork.com/baby_name...

The name Teague is for boys http://www.babynamenetwork.com/baby_name...  and http://babynamesworld.parentsconnect.com...

Teague vs Timothy; no they're not the same name.

    Timothy  Gender:Boy

    Origin:Greek

Meaning: To honor God, to fear God

    Origin: English

Meaning: To honor God, to fear God

    Pronunciation: (TIM uh thee)   [Guide]

    Form of: Timotheos

    Teague A poet or philosopher

    Tadhg  Gender  Boy

    Origin: Gaelic

    Meaning: Poet

    Pronunciation: (TIEG)   [Guide]

    Form of:

    Itself (Tadhg)

Teague has absolutely nothing to do with Timothy.

  3. Teagan is a great name....i like Teague better though. (both for girls)

Reagan has horrible connotations, and with all due respect to you, I am disgusted you call him the greatest president ever. Politics aside, it also is reminiscent of the child from The Excorcist..which, like Ronald Reagan, is frightening.

  4. I do not like boy names on little girls. There are so many adorable girl names they could have and then end up getting more masculine names. My name Jamie and I always hated it was also referenced to a male name. Jamie is the "feminine form of James" why would men want a name like that.

My sons name is Evan, and I hate how it is supposed to be considered a unisex name because some girl in Hollywood has the name. Evan means "the Welsh form of John".

Beats me why this keeps happening. UGH~

  5. Teagan and Regan are both okay names for a girl. I wouldn't name siblings Teagan and Regan however.

Blake is okay on a boy or a girl.

Elliot is still a masculine name, thank God, so let's keep it that way.

Luca shouldn't be used on a girl.

Jordan and Dylan, unfortunately, have both turned unisex.

  6. regan for a boy and teagen for a girl

  7. I would NEVER use a unisex name. Even if it is like Jordynn for a girl, nope. It's still also a boy's name when you had a girl!

  8. A lot of names that are more commonly used for girls now were once boys names--Leslie, Courtney, Ashley, and even your own name, Kelly.

That just seems to be the way it goes.  A name like Jordan, Taylor, or Riley becomes popular for boys, and the next thing you know, a lot of parents think it would be cute to name their little girl Riley or Jordan.  After a while, the name becomes more common for girls than for boys, and ends up completely falling out of favor as a boys name, because parents don't want to name their sons something that sounds like a girls' name.

  9. i wouldnt name a child teagan whether it was a boy or girl i just dont like the name teagan i like reagan for a girl my neice is named reagan.

  10. My name's Jeri. When I was younger I HATED my name. I was put on the boy's PE list every time I entered a new school--which was nearly every other year. When you give a child a name that goes against the flow of current thought, you risk the possibility of that child suffering from teasing in school. It wasn't until I left school and discovered who I truly was that I decided my name was okay. Give SERIOUS thought to the long-term impact the name will have on the child. The same goes for boys given the name Robin, Sandy, Kelly, Lesley, etc.

  11. whatever who cares it is the parents choice not yours

  12. IDK why people do this I guess they think is "unique" when obviously it isn't (ex Madison being one of the most popular female names). I like male names for boys, and female names for girls.

  13. your name, kelly, was a boy name initially. it was just as much a boys name as any of the names youre talking about. look it up. its like the pot calling the kettle black; you sound ridiculous!

  14. ummm...what exactly is your question here?? if you're asking why people name their girls with boy's names, i guess it's probably because that's what they liked and it's their baby so they'll name it what they want.  i think it's cute for girls to have boys names personally, but you're entitled to your opinion as well.

  15. i think regan is cute.i know a girl who named her daughter that and she wants to have another & name her kennedy

  16. I like Teagan for a boy better, but I like Regan for a girl better. Ive never met a boy named Regan, just girls.

  17. i agree with msdood1
