Team BMC Racing engages the expertise of Thor Hushovd for three years – Cycling News

Norwegian cyclist Thor Hushovd has confirmed that he will ride for team BMC Racing for 2012 and the news has also been confirmed by the team that the cyclist have been signed for three years.
The Norwegian believes that BMC racing is a well organised team which operates with a good planning and all the cyclists are assigned tasks as per their skills especially before the big events. He believes that he has done the right thing by signing with
them for the coming seasons as he commented, “It’s a serious team where it looks like everything is well organised. There’s a plan put together for the riders for all the big and important races. Everyone knows what to do. That’s a good thing.”
He further added that winning the Paris Roubaix is one target that he has not achieved yet and he is pretty sure that he will achieve this goal with his new team as he stated, “The BMC Racing Team has good riders to support me or for me to help someone else
on the team win.”
The 33-year-old has just returned from his extraordinary performance in the Tour de France, 2011 as he won stage 13 and stage 16 including a victory in the individual time trials during stage 2. Thor Hushovd dominated the race as he wore the leader’s jersey
for a week and also holds the honour of winning the Tour de France points classification.
Team’s management is also satisfied with signing of the rider and believes that he perfectly fits in the squad and will surely strengthen the team. General Manager of team BMC Racing Jim Ochowicz stated, “Thor brings a lot of qualities to us and compliments
other riders on the team in races like the Spring Classics and the Grand Tours.”
Ochowicz further added that team is happy to have Thor’s expertise in the team and his insertion in the team will help both himself and the team BMC Racing.
