Team SmackDown Prevailed the Night: Edge Won a SmackDown vs. RAW Battle Royal
With just six days away from WWE Bragging Rights, it was the men in blue who prevailed the night, giving Team RAW a blatant signal of what could possibly happen this Sunday.
The night kicked off with SmackDown General Teddy Long in the ring, praising his team’s capabilities. He was certain that his team would crush Team RAW at Bragging Rights the same way they did last year. General Manager Raw quickly
scampered in with an email asking him to get off his ring, to which Teddy instead refused. This made the anonymous General Manager of Raw chip in with yet another email which made Long get Michael Cole’s laptop away and rightly calling his team to the ring.
WWE Raw captain The Miz soon interrupted and started disrespecting SmackDown’s captain, Big Show. His team comprising of Santino, CM Punk, John Morrison and Sheamus stepped in the ring against SmackDown superstars as the brawl started. The engaging heat and
quarrel opened the gates for a thrilling encounter for the main event of the night as Show challenged Miz to a one-on-one Captain vs. Captain match.
Daniel Bryan Challenges Dolph Ziggler:
SmackDown official consultant Vickie Guerrero was in the process of parading her boyfriend, the Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler, when U.S. Champion Daniel Bryan trod in. Bryan expressed a ruthless aggression by challenging Ziggler to a one on one match
at Bragging Rights which he readily accepted. Both men did not wait for the pay-per-view and began a brutal scuffle with Bryan gaining the upper hand. Vickie, seeing her boyfriend in agony, shouted at Bryan to leave Ziggler, but the night did not end well
for her as several RAW Divas came out and embarrassed her after the brawl.
The Hart Dynasty Defeated: For The Hart Dynasty, issues seems getting more complex as they lost their match against the dominant team of WWE Tag Team Champions Drew McIntyre and “Dashing” Cody Rhodes. After the
match, a furious Tyson Kid left the ring, with David Hart Smith and Natalya left pondering over their future position. In singles action, Gold Dust easily defeated Zack Ryder, thus sending a message to Ted DiBiase over their tampering affairs.
Natalya Defeats Alicia Fox: In women’s action, WWE Hall of Fame Bret Hart’s niece Natalya endured his legacy with trapping Alicia Fox in a Sharpshooter for the victory. After the match, Michelle McCool and Layla
intervened in the ring to ambush Natalya but the strong diva countered well by locking Layla to a Sharpshooter before her BFF jumped in to save her from further assault.
The Nexus Attacks Orton: Helpless indeed, the enigma of WWE, John Cena was compelled by Wade Barrett to team up with WWE Champion Randy Orton to compete against Nexus rivals comprising of Husky Harris & Michael
McGillicutty. Cena teamed up greatly with the Viper to crush the minnows. After the match, all four members of the Nexus entered the ring and manhandled Orton, leaving him helpless over the mat. Barrett demanded more unpitying aggression from Cena and called
for an attitude adjustment to the Viper who quickly rolled out with a reversal.
Edge Wins SmackDown vs. RAW Battle Royal:
All eyes were set over the main event at the captain vs. captain match when Big Show decided to intensify things by calling out his team of SmackDown before the match commenced. The Miz too enlisted his brand’s roster and united his team in the red. Before
the blues and red could deteriorate the fate further, Theodore Long set up a Raw vs. SmackDown Battle Royal where the last man in the ring secures the victory for his team. Bodies flew all over the ring with reds and blues exchanging punches, leg drops, and
clothesline in a quest to throw each other over the rope. In the end it was Edge from team SmackDown who highlighted the night by sending the Irish Sheamus over the rope for the kill as SmackDown enter at WWE Bragging Rights with an apparent competitive advantage.
