Team Specialized-lululemon announced its final squad for the season ahead
The German outfit Team Specialized-lululemon is all set to start the 2013 season with the same sponsors.
The team has re-signed eight cyclists from last year’s UCI Women squad after Amber Neben, Clara Hughes left the team after 2012 season however, Ina-Yoko Teutenberg and Evelyn Stevens will retain their positions as the team leaders.
Ally Stacher, Loren Rowney, Ellen van Dijk, Katie Colclough, Lisa Brennauer and Trixi Worrack will accompany Stevens and Teutenberg.
Chloe Hosking, Amber Neben, Emilia Fahlin and Charlotte have signed for different teams while Clara Hughes decided to drop down the curtain on her wonderful cycling career.
Carmen Small has also joined the team after having a superb term with her previous side, Team Optum-Kelly Benefit Strategies and will be a great addition to the side.
She claimed an overall victory at the Nature Valley Grand Prix, second overall at the Cascade Cycling Classic along with an international victory at the Classica Citta di Padova.
Team General Manager and Owner Kristy Scrymgeour, is positive that Carmen will continue her current form to benefit the team in the season ahead.
"She actually is really quite a good leader, so we're bringing her in as a bit of a leader in the team," Scrymgeour said.
"She's also a great climber, so she should be good help for Evie [Stevens]. She's a great personality as well, and this year she had her best year ever”.
“I actually think she was toying with retiring after this year's Olympics, but because she had such a good year I really think she's got a lot more improvement in her, so I look forward to seeing what she can do".
Team Specialized lululemon was founded back in 2003 with its headquarters in Germany and Specialized Bicycle Components and lululemon athletica are its title sponsors.
Bob Stapleton’s High Road Sports owned the team in 2011 and it went under the name HTC-Highroad Women and Velocio Sports took over the ownership after HTC’s withdrawal from professional cycling by the end of 2011.
Final Team Specialized-lululemon roster for 2013 season include, Evelyn Stevens

Ina-Yoko Teutenberg, Ally Stacher, Loren Rowney, Ellen van Dijk, Katie Colclough, Lisa Brennauer, Trixi Worrack, Gillian Carleton, Carmen Small and Taylor Wiles.
