Team UK for soccer in 2012. A great idea - PM in favour? SNP against? An SNP plot to keep dividing UK?

Why not have both Men and Women UK soccer teams in 2012 Olympics. Gordon Brown is keen. But the SNP say he out of touch with the 'feelings' of the GB public. My dad was Welsh and one of my Grandparents was born in Dublin. I was born in England and my wife in Rhodesia of Scottish/French descent.

I am fed up of this anti 'English' stuff. Lets all pull together for 2012.

I believe the home countries would prefer to play individually, but UK is united under the Olympic banner. They are entitled to enter a UK team but have chosen to put it in the 'too hard' basket.

i think they are working on putting a team together it wont be easy though but if enough people want it it is bound to happen, if the other countries dont agree the whole england squad can just call themselves the GBR football team... problem solved. that is the main problem is that if it is agreed the other countries know it is going to be mainly england.

its not anti english its anti GBR. Putting all teams together as a mixture taskes away their identity and then somebody will probably get the idea to create a fifa gb and kill off the other countries fifas of scotland, wales and england. And who will choose who goes in the teams?

And personally i think that the english team only play for money. they got booed off the pitch the other night because they lost but still get their thousands of pounds to play. That wouldn't happen in a normal work environment.
