Team spirit has been the key behind England’s success over the years, says James Anderson – Part One – Cricket News Update
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/JM-Anderson-c1705, the spearhead of the English bowling attack, believes that team spirit has been the key behind England’s success over the years and credited Andy Flower (the England team’s director) for brining a change in the English
dressing room’s culture.
The Poms went through a horrible time in international cricket in 1990s and early 2000s, slipping down the ranking in both Tests as well as One Day Internationals (ODIs).
The situation however, started to enhance in 2005, with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746, by 2-1.
England’s fortunes truly changed when http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Andrew-Flower-c44362 took over the role of an assistant coach in 2007 and later became the full-time mentor in 2009. The British never looked back since then and eventually became the world’s number one
ranked Test team in 2011, after whitewashing http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 in the four-match Test series at home.
The Poms also won the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 World T20 2010, held in the Caribbean, under Flower’s guidance.

a victory in the on-going series.
Anderson, who is considered to be one of the world’s best swing bowlers, revealed that his team has discussed their flaws after the loss. The fast bowler expressed that the management wanted the players to speak their heart out.
"We're an open and honest dressing room and we're critical of each other, constructively," England’s spearhead said. "After a game like that, everyone is encouraged to speak their mind and there is no bullshit."
The 29-year-old cricketer from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lancashire-c806 mentioned that the former Zimbabwean captain brought about this cultural change in the English team, with the seniors and juniors being given equal opportunities to communicate their point
of views.
"It's something Andy Flower brought in when he became coach and it's something that's helped us improve. Andy encourages everyone to speak, whether they have played one Test or 100," expressed Anderson.
