Team sports for Expatriates in Riyadh?

Question

I'm a 28 year old American Male living in Riyadh. I need to get in shape and burn off some stress. Does anyone know of sports teams that I can join in Riyadh? I would like it to be a team of expats. Is there a website I can go to? Thanks

go up to the american embassy and ask the ladies at the window.. You know, they probably can give you loads of inside info.. and just ask any dude you see sitting there in the room.. They have their own compounds and social activities and im sure theyd invite you in..

......I don't know if there's a website for that but you can hear it thru your friends or the friends of your friends. There are basketball league, tennis tournament, darts and table tennis tournaments in Riyadh as well as major cities in the kingdom. Just ask your friends or colleagues where to find them. They have several groups organizing sportsfest esp. during summer time but now its already Ramadan, I think there are no sports that you can go to but try after Ramadan......

look in arab news on fridays sports page, you'll have the results and the name of the teams and probably the names of the rooms they play their games, that would be a good start.

usually expat sports are played on a corporate level, i mean by that that you'll find the sony team playing the ALJ team etc etc. check in your place of work and within the philippino community because they are the most active in expat sports, you'll probably hit something soon.

otherwise just join a gym. (top hotels have good gyms as well as compounds if you live in one)
