Team u.s.a baseball?

my brother is almost 16 he tryed out for a 17u wooden bat league and made it. if he plays good this season he moves to a 19u team and gets to try out for team usa in a tournament for china in 2009, but he was born in colombia and moved here at about age 4

would he still be allowed to play for team usa

  1. If he is a legal resident of the U.S. then yes


  2. If he's a U.S citizen it shouldn't be a problem.

  3. In order to play for Team USA in the Olympics, one has to be a naturalized citizen (legal citizen). If your parents are citizens than yes, and if not he has to becoome a citizen on his own before he can play.
