The teams and fans anticipate seeing the last and the final round of the 2010 Formula One season, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, scheduled to take place this Sunday. The past 18 races of the season has unfolded amidst immense thrill and exhilaration marking this
season the most exciting one in the 60 years’ history of Formula One.
Now as the caravan of cars heads for its last rendezvous, the team drivers and managers talked to the media expressing their aspirations and fears.

The season had gone pretty well for Nico Rosberg, who currently stands at 7th place in the Drivers’ Championship with his 130 points. Although, the last few races of the season has not turned out for the driver the way he expected, yet he is adamant
to do his best now at the last round of the season.
The team, under the title of Brawn GP bagged both, the drivers’ as well as the constructors’ championship last season but has not been able to provide its drivers with a very competitive car this season. Yet, Rosberg has proved to bring the best out of what
he got. However, now as he is heading for the last round of the season, the driver is adamant to finish the season on a positive note.
While talking to the media earlier this week, he said, “I really enjoyed our first visit to the Yas Marina Circuit at the end of last season. The track is interesting to drive with a unique layout with the unusual pit lane exit and the day/night program
makes a change from the usual format of a race weekend”.
The Brazilian Grand Prix last Sunday saw the driver bag 8 points. However, he is looking forward for an even better finish this Sunday.
At the same time, the other team driver, Michael Schumacher is more than thrilled as the team enters the last round of the season. For the racing icon, this is his first experience of the track, and he is pretty excited to drive on this newly built circuit
that has gained a lot of popularity in the Formula One calendar only after two years of its construction.
Although, the 2010 season unfolded very poorly for the seven times World Champion, the last two races turned out to be very encouraging for him. The Japanese Grand Prix saw him finish at 6th place while he ended at 4th place at the
last race in Brazil.
As he now moves for the final round, the German stated, “We had quite an encouraging weekend in Sao Paulo, even if it did not show too much to the outside, as our pace in qualifying and the race was satisfying. The final race weekend in Abu Dhabi will be
exciting for me as I will be driving this impressive circuit for the first time”.
Moreover, the Mercedes GP team principal and one of the biggest Formula 1 pundits, Ross Brawn is looking forward to a very strong weekend for its team. While talking about the venue he proclaimed that this is one of the most technically advanced circuits
in the calendar and could never fail to impress anyone who enters it.
He further said that he is happy that the team is entering the last round after a double-points finish in Brazil, and he is hoping to see a similar finish once again this weekend.
Echoing Brawn’s words, Norbert Haug, the vice-president of Mercedes-Benz Motorsport said, “Our team will not be taking anything for granted and our target is to achieve the best possible result with our current technical package”.
