Tears From Heaven gamely in for the Southwell Racecourse On Twitter Handicap Chase on 29th February
The Class 5 Follow Southwell Racecourse On Twitter Handicap Chase will be held on Wednesday, 29th February at Southwell over three miles and two furlongs. The £1, 949 purse will be contested for by fourteen horses participating today.
Tears From Heaven, Street Cry’s six-year-old bay gelding out of mare Heavenly Aura, recently credited a race against his name as a victory. He won the Racing UK Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Chase on 25th January at Musselburgh, raced over three
miles.
The 9/4 favourite of the race was riding with Alexander Voy and was in lead of a staggering fifteen lengths. Desertmore Star was the runner up of the race while Hurricane Jack finished the race third behind the winner.
Tears From Heaven’s debut of the 2012 season was in the Happy New Year Handicap Chase on 1st January at Musselburgh over three miles. Definite Appeal was the winner of the race who led by 2 ¼ lengths while Tears From Heaven nestled into the second
slot with Henry Brooke riding.
Tears From Heaven has tasted victory lately and that also first time in his career. The connections would want him to add strings to the victory that he has just got under his belt thus all the more chances for his win today.
Samson Collonges, Fragrant Mix’s six-year-old grey gelding out of mare Idole Collonges, has been entered as a favourite in his last two starts but could not translate the chances into victories.
He was entered as a 11/4 favourite in the final start of his 2011 season, the Jardine’s Catering Handicap Chase on 22nd December at Sedgefield over two miles and four furlongs. Samson Collonges was positioned eighth on the field of thirteen contesting.
The race was won by Sycho Fred.
Then on 20th January, he was entered as 9/2 joint favourite for the Catterickbridge.Co.UK Handicap Chase at Catterrick. Samson Collonges finished the race fourth after the winner while Bardolet, the other joint favourite won the race by two lengths.
Today Samson Collonges will be stepping into the second start of the season and in case he credits this one as a victory then it will be his first win throughout his career.
