Tebow-mania takes over UCLA football field – NFL News
The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) football office and training ground is getting a lot more visitors, mostly females these days.
The reason?
Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow.
Tebow, is http://www.senore.com/Denver-Broncos-QB-Tim-Tebow-making-most-of-offseason-as-he-trains-with-UCLA-NFL-News-a129881 to practice on his throwing and improve in his passing abilities and the UCLA campus like the rest of America has been overtaken by Tebow-Mania according to UCLA Bruins head coach Jim L. Mora.
"There's a little Tebow-mania going on here on the UCLA campus. There's a few more girls hanging around the football office and the football field that there typically are."
The young Broncos quarterback is working with offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone as he looks to improve on his pass completion rate in the new season.
"He's obviously a guy that wants to get better, like they all do," Mazzone said. "And wants to kind of become good at his craft and his craft is being an NFL quarterback. Like Philip Rivers. There is nothing I'm going to say that's going to make Philip Rivers any better than the quarterback he is, but they love to compete, they like to play and they like to get better at what they do."
The Broncos quarterback is not the only familiar face at the UCLA campus. San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers also joined in on Thursday.
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder is also expected to practice in the coming days with the UCLA offensive coordinator.
Tebow led Denver to the playoffs this year with some brilliant performances as they won the American Football Conference (AFC) West championship but throughout the season his throwing motion and pass completion rate came under fire from analysts.
The 24-year-old completed just 46.5% of his passes in the regular season and he is looking to change that statistic in the 2012-13 season.
Denver won the AFC West Championship after Tebow took over quarterback duties from Kyle Orton in week seven.
Tebow performed brilliantly with the Broncos winning six games in a row to reach the playoff wildcard round where they shocked Pittsburgh Steelers to move into the division rounds of the playoffs.
Their playoff run ended though at the hands of AFC Champions and Super Bowl finalists New England Patriots.
